In California, a "5150" is the code for someone who is a danger to themselves or others due to a mental condition. Basically someone who has essentially lost touch with reality.
When we founded iLA_5150 10 years ago, a lot of people thought we were exactly that: completely out of our minds 🤯.They weren't entirely wrong. You have to be a little "crazy" to take high-powered lasers and expensive cameras, mount them on robots, and try to automate the entire PIV process.
Looking back on the journey from 2016 to 2026:

Looking back on the journey from 2016 to 2026:
- From 6 to 14: We started as a core group of six. Today, we are a great team of 14 specialists pushing PIV-technology every day.
- The small office Era: We spent nearly 6 years in an office we outgrew on day one. It was crowded, but it’s where a lot of hard work, big breakthroughs and the most important plenty of good memories happened.
- Today, we’re bigger, (mostly) smarter, and more capable, but we’ve never lost that original 5150 touch.
